Creating Fake Blood
By testing a recipe for fake blood, we were able to see what looked the best on camera, by its colour and consistency, as well as if it was edible enough to for our actors to spit out!
This then informed what we used in our actual film....

How Did It Turn Out?
What Went Well?
The blood we made was very straightforward to put together, and the taste wasn't at all bad!
The colour was also pretty realistic in appearance, with the chunky peanut butter giving it the gory, viscera filled look we wanted.
In terms of the video, we've clearly outlined a recipe and tips and showed the blood in action.
What Issues Were There?
Though the look of the blood was perfect, a more vibrant colour would've improved it, making it look better on camera.
Some of the filming is a bit shaky and random, and the editing pace goes too up and down.
Next Time?
More food colouring to give that blood red look and the use of a tripod when filming.
