Who is renting Movies/Films - Netflix
What is Netflix?
Netflix is a service that allows you to watch a variety of movies/films and television shows whenever you want by paying a monthly subscription. As it is a 'streaming service' you can watch the movie or show while it is loading, this makes it extremely popular among other websites as you do not have to wait to watch anything or download anything previously.
|
There are a large variety of movies/shows to watch (estimated 5500 to be instantly viewed in the US). Because of this, it is extremely easy for people of all ranges and interests to watch they desire. Within the 'Horror' genre there are lots of sub genres, these can be easily found with Netflix.
Examples of the most popular selling Netflix Movies/Films
Hush:
Hush has a 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes (a reviewing website) and is based on a deaf woman living in an isolated cottage in the woods. The killer murders her friend and then traps/taunts her inside of the house, she then has to figure out how to evade the killer and escape. this is relatively new but despite this is still one of the top sellers this year. |
Scream 2:
Despite Scream 2 being relatively old, the first was so successful (still continues to be the highest grossing slasher flick in the world) that it was bound to be a success (81% on Rotten Tomatoes). It is more of a comedy horror however and can sometimes only appeal to specific audience but that doesn't stop it being one of the best sellers. |
