Based on a variety of both critic and user reviews on metacritic, this film is considered one of the best pieces on horror cinema ever made, both artful and disturbing.
This could mean good things for how our film is received, due to us similarly going down the route of having disturbing subject matters and gore. We can also easily incorporate more artistic filming techniques into our film, if we want to. |
Critic reviews praise this movie for using slow drawn out suspense and intense scenes, rather than overusing jump scares and chase sequences, and user reviews praise it for mixing realistic harrowing character portrayals, with surreal horror.
This suggests our film could do well if we incorporate surreal scenes into our horror film, as well as potentially using suspense as a plot device. |
